Rod Reyna is a 14-year Pflugerville resident who has served the community on many levels, both in the public eye and behind the scenes. He started 10 years ago as a Neighborhood Watch block captain; then citizens police academy, and later police academy. This work and youth/family ministry developed into neighborhood and community building. Rod was chosen for Saxony HOA and Pflugerville Council of Neighborhood Associations level leadership positions. As PfCONA Chair the past four years, he has collaborated with or made presentations to more than 60 neighborhood/community organizations. He has joined and represented some. Rod’s community-based efforts, advocacy, and team building on behalf of home and business owners has included dealing with nearly every city board, commission, committee, and staff departments; plus developers, investors, and landowners. He is Downtown Planning Committee Chair and working team/event adviser. Rod has served as a facilitator for neighborhood/community workgroups regarding commercial development and has led many town meetings, forums, and group sessions on Pflugerville’s direction. He brought many leaders/groups to the table when doing so. Rod has worked closely with PISD, county commissioner/staff, state representatives/staff, law enforcement, and regional leadership networks/agencies on Pflugerville’s issues and needs.
Rod has been married to Cynthia Reyna, an attorney, for 18 ½ years. They have three daughters in PISD schools, involved in band, Girls Scouts, clubs, and soccer. He has worked for HCC Corporation for 14 years and is a research specialist. He is a former Pflugerville Police Officer and is a Deputy Constable with Travis County Precinct 2. [News Releases]
